A trip to parkrun was overdue and typically only tend to make a few times a year. The day before we headed to France.
Alex came in 2nd behind Jonathan Escalante -Phillips who we new was 10 years his junior and also a class act. For me, I chased the boys as best I could and came in first lady in 18:13 which is 7 secs off my parkrun pb. I wasn’t running injury free, after my 2 massive long races the 100 miler and the 100k taking its toll. From late June I had been experiencing toe/foot pain which was like running over a stone constantly, to which I hope will fix by doing beach running and not pavement pounding.
With a catch up with Jonathan we decided to add some reps on at the end and run some efforts to cover 10 miles in total for the day. Job done and time to finalise packing.
