Booked in with the potential to try and score for our team but Zoe our team mate was ill in the lead upto the race.  This left Sophie and I to fair as best we could in what was the start of a bout of flu and terrible hay fever.  The trees around the course were cutting into my eyes and my throat very dry, regardless had to make the best of the day.

Having started boxed in and for some time near missing being tripped managed to settle into a pace but knowing I still felt laboured from other races and the 100 miler.  I managed to hold on for a top 20 finish but unable to dip under 36 mins sadly.  Regardless the best time for a while and sandwiched between heavy training and races.  Always a top class field in this race, not particularly an interesting course but easy to navigate and had a few gradual climbs.  Very stressful though around the race start due to the volume of people but the bonus being a “FREE” entry.
