Wokingham Half Marathon – 21st February 2016

by Sam Amend - 21st February 2016 | General News, Race Reports

This race was planned to be PB territory but with the weather all week so windy nothing changed on the day either.  the warm up was horrendous and wind so strong.  The race finish was the slowest in 78.58 one of my slowest and certainly glad to finish it.  gutted because I like this race as its on quiet roads and not over busy with runners.  All the times apart from a handful where slower than expected and the women’s field turned out a few elite runners using for preparation for London Marathon (Rio qualifier).  Worst finish at this race in 8th lady overall, however the best part was chatting to Justina Heslop who I haven’t seen for sometime and her awesome legend of a coach “Bruce Tullouh”.
