This was another windy day but hopeful with it being a road race may find some shelter. Both Alex and I decided to run this rather than park run hoping it would be a quick course. Looking at past results it looked to be a good one with the local club organizing it and a classy field. What we hadnt taken into consideration was a course with many laps, cobbles, poor marshalling and not a “fast course”.
Happy to come away with a win for me and a 2nd place for Alex but both our times were down by over a minute with Alex in 16.46 and myself in 18.55 which would be a disaster even in parkrun. It wasnt a completley wasted effort as we still had vouchers to show. Just disappointing when you take the whole family, including dogs and come away with disappointment all round.

To top it off the hosted pub didnt allow dogs or children who had to wait outside in the wind, lucky it was only a 5k,
