Nice to be back to a local race i have supported over the years and again local club and extremely well organised. A road course with a few climbs and notoriously hot and that it was again this year! burning all the way round to finish in 36mins 50 not the quickest time on the course and having not tapered was using also for a tempo session. However a win is a win and a pleasure to be running the same day that Cooray of Vale of Aylesbury broke the male record and ran 29 minutes ahead of the World Marathon in Beijing.
Always a great summer race to do and not too long in the heat !
