A last minute decision for a quality training session with only a few weeks to the marathon in October and I managed to win the beautiful but tough Windsor half by 6 minutes. Not the fastest time but relative to the course and also the hot conditions which peaked 27 degrees having been an afternoon race. Without Alex it would be rude not to win something for “Sammi O Miler” at a local and supportive race.
A good day for 2 coached athletes for Rodger with Nicki taking second place also so it was a worthy race for ” Team Hughes”
