After what I would say was a disappointing London Marathon this year in April, I had to move on quickly into a more positive frame of mind. Next stop was planning my next races including the training for my next Marathon in September “Berlin”.
Marlow 5 has become a regular for me, whilst it has sharp turns and humid it is always a course I find hard to reflect a true PB… I like the fact its local! Finishing 14th overall and 1st lady by over 2 minutes in a time of 28.55 I walked (actually) ran away very pleased. This was over a minute quicker than last year’s results http://www.handycrossrunners.co.uk/Marlow5.html. A well organised race and will be back again for 3rd time lucky!
The whole of this years training to date has either produced me a course PB overall times in that distance. My ultimate goal is still to run my 2hrs 40 marathon
