Another proud moment to look back on for me as the race director, quite enjoying the organisation but not the sleepless nights leading upto the day or chasing sheep out of the race area.
We had a great turn out (not as many as last year) but over 70 children running the 1k race. Having secured less sponsorship this year we relied on race entry which was slightly lower than last year, any main sponsors for 2013 would love to hear from you!!
Once again a success, a few modification and last minute panics (i wish not to share) but as always I have to thank my wonderful circle of friends and also all our volunteers to help make this day special for those with “bereavement” and those celebrating “fathers day” to support the charity. Most of all without Fred I wouldnt have had the confidence to pull this off again, although I will be going solo next year, yikes! www.childbereavement.org.uk
