Excellent day for racing although an 11am start meant it did get warmer than I would have liked, it was definately crop top and short’s weather for the race. Really pleased to have done another PB this year in a half marathon finishing tenth in 1.17.09, the course had a few undulations but relatively good running surface. I will hopefully have a second chance to do another PB and aim 1.16 next month at Reading half marathon. I felt good in the race until i got to the 10k mark and battled for about 5 more miles with a stitch, I knew I had to press on to get the result needed for a PB. I came away having enjoyed a lovely weekend in a beautiful place and made my coach happy who came to watch me race while Dave took the pictures (just to show people I do work hard sometimes).
